Wiener Dog Races
This afternoon we headed to Old World Village in Huntington Beach (it's like Alpine Village, except it's called Old World Village and it's in Huntington Beach. And there's more there.). They are celebrating Ocktoberfest like most Germany-themed Villages are. One feature of their Ocktoberfest that is missing in many others is the dachshund races, or Wiener Dog Races. Is there anything cuter than a bunch of badass dachshunds racing for hot dogs? No, no there is not. Except Theo, of course.
And there's this athlete, whose jaunty felt cap proved to be his downfall as it slipped over his eyes and forced him to lose his race:
