More of Scout's Page Ahroooooooooooo!

Hello everyone! Thanks for all the emails I've been getting. It's been really exciting to hear from all of you. I try to answer everyone's email, so keep them coming to scout@shelbyswedding.com

It's almost Christmas and I love Christmas! I've been sniffing the tree and so far I've only tried to eat one ornament--this is a personal best for me! It's so hard to be good, but I know that I have to be on Santa's "Nice" list or I won't get anything that I asked for. This year I asked for a new hedgehog today since I shredded the old one. I also asked for a lifetime supply of pig's ears and a never empty food bowl, but I'm not holding my breath on those.

This year we are traveling in the car (I hate the car) to visit Grandma and Grandpa in Torrance. This is always fun, but for some reason Grandma got white carpet this year. I'm not sure why anyone would do such a thing, but I can tell you it sure makes her nervous when I'm around. Don't worry, I try to leave as many dark hairs behind as possible.

I've got some new websites for you to check out! First is my new friend, Jake Rosco Flint. Jake is a puppy Jack Russel Terrier. He's just a little guy, so he's pretty cute, but do NOT be fooled! He is NOT cuter than me, Scout, The Dog Of Ultimate Cuteness. Just so you know. Jake is being cared for by his Human, Elizabeth, who is a coworker of Mom's. Elizabeth was my Foster Mom for a couple of days last year so I know she is an excellent Human to have around.

We have also joined the Red Ribbon Webring against Dog Hatred. When Dad was in Germany, the government panicked after a dog attack and outlawed certain "vicious" breeds of dogs like Rottweilers and German Shepards--in German they're Kampfhunde, or fighting dogs. Mom, Dad, and I support sensible legislation regarding dogs including individual dog temperament tests and mandatory owner/dog training classes, but we do not feel that widespread outlawing of certain breeds is the answer. What's next? Beagles? You can click on our webring link below for more information. Try to get the site in English though :). As soon as I can, I'm going to post a picture of me sporting my Red Ribbon to show my solidarity with my German cousins. In the meantime, YOU can help by having your pet spayed or neutered and by properly training your dog.
